Living Blue Zone

International
Conference - 18 June

Conference at Mix Brussels

Jun 18, 2025

On 18 June 2025, more than 200 participants gathered at MIX Brussels to attend the first Living Blue Zone conference. It was a landmark moment that laid the foundations for a movement inspired by the blue zones, those regions of the world where people live longer, healthier lives and are more connected to their environment.

Professor Michel Poulain, demographer and co-discoverer of the blue zones, shared the key principles observed in the field and how they can inspire our contemporary societies.

Dominique Honhon also took to the stage to present the vision of the Living Blue Zone Foundation, which has since become Living Blue Zone International ASBL.

Le MIX, a place for exchanges and encounters in the heart of nature, provided the ideal setting for this first conference.
A space that reflects the values of living well together, conviviality and connection with living things.

This evening marked the beginning of a collective movement driven by a shared conviction: to revive life and create environments where human beings can flourish in harmony with each other and with the planet.
